New Battery and Grip..
Last week I had a problem with my New Battery for the Nikon D90 [Read the post]. I went to the Nikon Agent – Qatar, they claimed that there where no warranty on the batteries and the chargers; so they can’t change it or re-fund, I decide to get new one and I ask for the price it increased from 41$ to 45$.. Why??
anyway ..
I search the net [Amazon.com] and I fond a battery grip + remote + 2x batteries for 64$, it takes 10 days to be delivered [international transportation-Aramex] I just received it and here it is.
It’s not bad, nice shape and material, Made In China 🙂 , and the remote was missed!! so no remote..
The batteries are without brand, no name on it I hope it will work fine with me.

I tracked you back to your page to find these lovely pictures. I love the composition of the tulip shots and the simplicity of the background
How have you been getting on with the unbranded batteries Ali? I would like to get the battery grip for my 7D, but they seem very expensive for what they are. However, they do let you hold the camera in portrait mode a lot more comfortably. Maybe I should look at the 3rd party options like you have… if it has been working nicely for you for the last couple of months?
We spend a lot in getting BRANDS but at the end it will work for some time and then you have to change it, yes you need to pay for a BRAND in some cases but here for the battery mmmm need to think about it.. it’s working fine.. i think..
I totally agree with respect to “brands”, I’m not interesting in a name – I want something that does the job. It’s an interesting word to use for such a notion. After all, weren’t slaves branded? I think too many people are indeed slaves to brands. When I have the free cash to buy a battery grip I’ll certainly be looking at the cheaper options, and it helps to know that your experience has been good.
