About: Callithrix penicillata, commonly known as the black-tufted marmoset, is a small New World monkey native to Brazil. Recognized by its black ear tufts and greyish body, this primate is highly adaptable and often found in forests and urban areas. It feeds on fruits, insects, and tree sap. Known for its social behaviour, it lives in small family groups. Despite habitat loss, it remains widespread and is classified as Least Concern by the IUCN.

In January 2025, I had a beautiful visit to small yet great park and zoo in Qatar, it’s almost 48 km from where I live, I take several photos there. In coming posts, I will publish some of the images, all are taken with Sony RX100vii camera.

I wait for almost 40 seconds for this Peafowl to jump a cross the lake to take the shot, i was holding my sony RX100VII camera in my hand and just waiting for the moment, this is one of the several shots..

The Sri Lankan axis deer or Ceylon spotted deer is a subspecies of axis deer that inhabits only Sri Lanka.

Sometimes, a fixed prime lens will not give the ability to take such shots. Here, I use the Sony RX100vii camera in 97mm zoom to frame the dear in the Al-Khor Zoo, the shutter 1/2000s, and 320 ISO with F4.5 and black and white picture profile.

It was not easy to take a full photo of the giraffe because of the fences. Here is a shot of its neck and head.
I use the classic chrome picture profile in this shot, ISO 100 F4.5 Shutter speed 1/232s and 200mm zoom on the camera lens.

This monkey was looking at me, there was almost 5meter between me and the cage.

statue of arabian white oryx, this animal is famous in the arabian gulf.
I take the shot using Sony RX100vii camera in manual mode and black and white picture profile.
Taking pictures is not my main daily practices, but when i start playing with my camera, i really enjoy my self.
