I keep taking close shots of lots of things that I see some of these shots are very good examples of Macro shot with non-macro lens, here is a sample shot for a tree i don’t know its name but it is a flower tree and it is full of these red ‘balls’. click the image to see it enlarge.

More Pheasants

Because of its natures, whenever I see it I start taking some photos, and when it just hear the shutter sound it runs away, Pheasants are really a afraid birds; and for that I am using a telephoto lens, unforchuntly i am using camera in hand and for such shot in low light and @ 300mm it was difficult to get 100% focus shot.

I used the Nikon 18-300m lens in my journey in London 2012, it is a great lens for outdoor and daily walking use.

I take some beautiful shots of Aylesbury Ducks in a private farm in Ingatestone, this is one of those photos and i will post others.

This Pheasant stand on the gate of two level grass, more than 35meter away in a afternoon cloudy day, unfortunately I keep using the camera in hand without any stand.
My camera is Nikon D90 and the Nikon 18-300mm lens.

This shot is a good example of the ‘Dark corners‘ you may find if you are using Nikon 18-300mm, I notes that in low light (afternoon, indoors) photos the dark corners start to appear in the shots @300mm.
Here is one of the photos that I take on 2012-09-21 @ 20:29:18 and it was a cloudy day, although I crop the image; still you can see it.

Yellow Flowers..

This photo is back to my trip to London 2012, the picture is for a small yellow flower; I use the Nikon 18-300m lens to take the photo @ 300m and 5.6 aperture and this helps me to get the DOF background.

Nikon 18-300m Macro & Wide..

Taking Macro shot with non-Macro lens is really depending on the lens and light. Here are two photos with My Nikon 18-300mm lens, in the first one I use it as a Macro sample and you can see the DOF on background and the small white flowers as s macro subject.

In this shot I use the 18-300m as a wide angle lens to shot the trees and the sky in a sunny day
